Welcoming #BabyDS with this Secret Garden inspired baby shower for Derin and Sammie at their gorgeous home this past summer was a beautiful opportunity to work with such a fun colour palette, purple and green. Starting off this design, we immediately knew that we had to base the foundation our concept to work within the confines of their pool house if we really wanted to create a really special moment. Working around a pool in an enclosed space can be a reason for concern so we worked with Bubble N' Bloom to have balloons floating in the pool which will serve as a visual boundary for the adults.

The details in this design were so important to drive home the whimsical nature of this theme. We opted for acrylic charger plates paired with Italian Ruscus to inspire the element of greenery, handpicked green and purple candy displayed on the table to represent garden seeds, the gorgeous illustration of the mum-to-be on a swing representing the freeness with being out in the open, the gelato machine decorated with flowers, over 60 butterflies clustered on the wall and finally, stationery that encapsulated all these great elements and really spoke to the essence of the Secret Garden theme.

 

To create a modern feel, our table top items balanced masculine and feminine lines, had a flair of opulence and provided some much needed texture to the space. To inspire joy, the balloon installation perfectly executed by Bubble N' Bloom was gorgeous and a perfect manifestation of the colour scheme. To define the experience of everyone present, we created customized baby shower games that were unique to their heritage.
